in 2019-2020, the ctl is piloting a new faculty fellows program to support excellent teaching in stem classes across boston university. the cirtl mooc, an introduction to evidence-based undergraduate stem teaching, created nearly 100 high quality videos about stem teaching and learning. effective workshops engage the audience, develop their awareness, and skills and leads to new competencies. in the attached document, an outline is provided of how to design and implement effective workshops using a blended approach, with first exposure to the content and ideas online prior to the workshop, high-engagement and active learning activities during the workshop for practice an feedback, and post-session followup for future exploration and continued access to resources.
