i am looking to list them and a basic explanation of what it is. izzy’s own program, which is in that list, is actually really solid if you’ve got a decent technical base and you’re a believer in specificity. at the very least invest in practical programming 3rd edition, it will teach you the variables you can control and play with while training. juggernaut has great programming in terms of linear progression = great for beginners, but its unbelievably slow (you start at 50%, go to ~90%, and each percentage takes about 3 or so weeks).
i like it alot because it makes sense to me (go heavy to increase weight, other days to address mechanics/problems), but after the 10 week cycle, wasn’t happy with progress. candito is pretty intense if you go from a routine where you work different muscle groups separately, and can be pretty grueling in terms of frequency and recovery. essentially, its an upper/lower body split every other day, with 5 days a week. it seems to work good for anyone who works hard at it.
