hey guys, iv got alot of my training down…that is accept the running! look up running plans that are meant to work you up to a 40 minute 10k since that’s what lines up most with indoc grad standards. this is just an example you’re free to adapt the distance runs to distances that fit your current running ability but the good thing about timed runs is that its about running / working out the whole time. the bulk of your improvement will come from your timed runs, the distance runs on the weekend are just for you to keep track of your performance.
full out sprints too, not just fast running, but the more you run fast (faster than you can maintain, the better gains you will get). also the more long distance running you do, as opposed to what you already will have to do on active duty, is going to put wear and tear on your knees and spine that doesn’t need to be there. i got a lot of no and sorry can’t do that but after enough emails and phone calls i got, what i consider the best possible outcome. i have yet to do a single interval and know i will get significantly faster once he implements the speed sessions and all of this is with more than four months to go before i can even take a past. i don’t know if that is entirely necessary but i know i will be durable when the time comes.
