today i’m sharing all my favorite halloween activities and picture books for the classroom. they are hands down my favorite way to sneak in language and learning in the classroom and at home with my little guy. for this bin, i got everything from the dollar tree and the erasers from the target dollar spot. materials include: dried black beans, black and orange straws cut up, pom-poms, mini erasers, mini pumpkin and cauldron buckets, spider rings, and skeleton arm scoopers. we scooped them up and poured them into the plastic jack o’lantern. have students follow the directions in the unit, then add fun black shapes to make the funny jack-o-lantern faces. click here to read more about our mfml pumpkin unit. i love using these decorating kits so students can add faces to their pumpkins and they turn out so cute! in the classroom, we read the story a few times and then we completed a story map together. my story time packs includes everything you need to make the story maps as well as interactive comprehension questions about the stories. i think these frankensteins are my favorites for the month!
