please take notice that the california department of education (cde) has determined there is a lack of publisher interest in the 2020 health instructional materials adoption that warrants canceling the adoption. therefore, pursuant to california education code section 60213(f), the cde will be recommending to the state board of education (sbe) that it formally cancel the adoption at its next meeting, scheduled for may 6–7, 2020. consequently, all intervening dates and deadlines specified in the adoption’s schedule of significant events are hereby suspended (i.e., postponed to a future date to be determined, if necessary) pending the sbe’s decision on the matter. thus, for example, there will be no “reviewer training week” during april 20–24, 2020. if you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
