is this enough practice to get into the g league or not and what should i be working on? second, you aren’t physically developed and the amount of hours you are putting in are partially being wasted. thirdly, you are breaking down your body and are contributing to a potential burnout. if basketball is for you, you will know by your freshman year and this is when the real grind starts. but, i’d ask parents to take the ball away from a high school kid who spends 40 hours a week doing nothing but drills. i would say only practice for 1-3 hours every day, and even then, just work on skills.
you are practicing way too much for a 12 year old. i don’t even want my high school guys practicing that much. but do not spend this part of your life chasing a goal that even the very best players you will see can’t reach. you don’t believe me now, but close to 40 hours a week of repetitive practice will burn you out on hoops by the time you’re 14. i’ve seen it. no matter how tempted you are to run drills and exercises, too much of that stuff can make a 20 win team a 15 team win fast. with the work you are putting in you should be able to make a hs team. nice work ethic, but play in games instead of just practice, reason i stated that is cuz i would work so much on my left and then in game just too unconfident to use it, next dont think about the g league right now, think about ok what can i do right now to be the best you can be, and don’t look at g league players now to base your opinion if you’re 12 then it’ll be different when you would get to that age like probably more 3’s or you could counter that with just bringing back hard slashes to the rim, if you legitimately work that hard i have confidence you can get your stuff together and find your brand of basketball, good luck bro just keep practicing but just think as of like bam lemme drop 20 in this rec game, and then build off of that
